Complete the annotation of the two texts at the bottom of the document. They are both for the same brand, Persil, but in vastly different time periods. Once the annotation is completed, compete a ten-mark comparison of how the brand is presented in the two advertisements. 

 

Research and find copies of three texts that you would be interested in writing in the style of. This could be: a short story, the opening of a novel, newspaper article, review of film/album, sports commentary, poem, local interest article. Make sure they are texts that you are interested in. Bring these to the initial lessons.

Read through this document from AQA on the terminology required for the course. Make revision cards of any terms you already are aware of to secure that knowledge ready for the start of the course. Some students like to do this through Quizlet and this is also fine.

Lever Arch Folder x2, dividers, note pad lined paper (you may want to have one folder to start with but eventually you may have to split into two due to size of folder.
