Dear Parent/Carer,
The School Aged Immunisation Service (SAIS) will be offering the following vaccinations to all Year 9 students in school on Monday 7 March 2022:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Polio (also known as the ‘Teenage 3-in-1 Booster’)
- Meningitis
- HPV – 1st or 2nd vaccination.
The deadline for registering your online Consent or Refusal for the Year 9 vaccinations for Tetanus/Diphtheria/Polio + Meningitis + HPV will be activated on Friday 4 March at 1.00 pm. If you have not already registered, please make arrangements to do so as soon as possible to help school formulate a timetable for when students need to attend for their vaccinations.
- If this is your child’s 1st HPV jab, you will need to give consent/refusal online.
- If this is your child’s 2nd HPV jab, the consent for this is already covered from the 1st vaccination and there is no need for you to give consent again.
- If you are unsure whether your child has already received their 1st HPV jab, please contact the School Aged Immunisation directly at email address SAIS@nottshc.nhs.uk to seek confirmation. This vaccination session ONLY applies to students in Year 9. It is important every eligible student has a completed online form which states if you would like them to receive the vaccination or not as this helps the school to formulate a timetable for those students with consent to attend for their vaccination. As the session date is only a matter of days away, we should be grateful if you would register your online consents/refusals as soon as possible by visiting the following link:

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support.
This half-term has seen the Year 9 students fundraising for a charity of their choice. Students were asked to take part in a “mobile phone amnesty” in which students were sponsored by friends and family to give up their phone for a weekend.
The students have raised an amazing £985 (although there is still some money coming in) which will be split between “The Sick Children’s Trust” and “Cancer Research UK”.
Several students raised over £20 and have received a “Charity Champion”
certificate.
A massive well done to Miss Merrington’s form (9MMN) who raised £405!
Kind regards,
Mr Hall & The Year 9 Tutors
We are delighted to announce our panto Snow White is going ahead.

Dear Parent/Carer,
On Friday 4th February all staff and students are invited to wear something red in support of the work done by the British Heart Foundation.
Students can come into school wearing a red accessory – but they must be in full school uniform (which includes the colour red anyway if you can’t find a red accessory!)
A donation of £1 per student would be appreciated to help support the work of the British Heart Foundation – this can be done via Parent Pay or given to the form tutor.
Thank you for your support.
Dear Parent/Carer,
The Year 13 Student Progress Reports are available for you to access on Go 4 Schools. Please login to the Go 4 Schools parent website, scroll down to the Progress and reports section and click on View report to see your child’s latest report. From there you can choose to view the report as a pdf which will allow you to print the report, if required.
Please note that Progress Reports are not available on the Go 4 Schools Mobile App.
If you have not logged into the Go 4 Schools parent site previously, please follow the instructions which can be found under Information on our school website.
On Tuesday 18th January at 5pm, Mr Alderson will be hosting a live event over Teams that will focus on how year 11 can successfully prepare for exams. The link to join this session is here.
We hosted a session looking at homework in December that looked at the strategies we teach students to use, but this session looks beyond the strategies. We will go over how to prepare for revision, the common mistakes that are made, dealing with exam stress and more. We would recommend that parents/ carers attend with their child as it is important that we work together to gain success.
There will be the ability to submit questions during the presentation and these will be answered at the end.
We hope to see you there.
