Key Stage 3 (Year 7 – 8)
When students arrive at All Saints, they have varied experiences of Computing and we aim to establish and build on this prior knowledge. One lesson a week is taught with the emphasis on gaining a fuller understanding of the ideas and concepts behind computing. Schemes of learning cover:- E-safety, Number Systems, Block and Text based Programming, Graphics, Animation, Web Design and 3D Game Design.
Key Stage 4 (Year 9 – 11)
We offer both a Cambridge National in Creative iMedia and GCSE Computer Science. Both courses are very popular, with a large number of students opting for them year on year. Students have begun the new GCSE (9-1) in Computer Science, where they learn about Computer Systems, Computational Thinking, Algorithms and Programming. They also carry out a Programming Project, where they will be challenged by a range of exciting and engaging tasks to apply the knowledge and skills they have learned. The Cambridge National in Creative iMedia equips students with the wide range of knowledge and skills needed to work in the creative digital media sector. They start at pre-production and develop their skills through practical assignments as they create final multimedia products.

Two further units will be completed from the optional units provided by the exam board.
These will be Centre-assessed tasks OCR-moderated each Approx 10 hours – 60 marks (60 UMS)
Key Stage 5 (Year 12 – 13)
We offer A-level Computer Science and Cambridge Technicals in IT at level 3. The A-level course in Computer Science is part of the new reformed courses introduced by the government and is a practical subject where students can apply the academic principles learned in the classroom to real-world systems. It helps students to develop the skills to solve problems, design systems and understand the power and limits of human and machine intelligence.
The IT course provides students with essential knowledge and skills in IT and cyber security. A wide range of units and opportunities for practical and project-based work helps students gain an insight into technological change, global IT infrastructure and legal and security considerations.
