Dear parents / guardians,
Firstly, a huge thank you for those of you who attended the ASPIRE event last night. I hope that you found the information provided supportive in preparing your child for the Year 11 mock exams and the Sixth Form application process. The presentation from the ASPIRE event, along with a series of video clips from Curriculum Leaders outlining how students can prepare for mock exams and the benefits of studying each particular subject at Sixth Form, will be placed on the school website today.
The presentation from the ASPIRE event and the videos from Curriculum Leaders and on Sixth Form life can be found on the school website, under the Sixth Form tab, under the heading ‘News’. The direct link to the resources can be found below. More information will be added to this section over this week to help inform choices over Sixth Form application.
We would value your support in helping your child prepare for the mock examinations, starting 1st November and guiding them with their choices for Key Stage 5 studies. If you were unable to attend the ASPIRE event, please have a look at the presentation for the session as useful information is provided on how you can support your child with their mock exam preparation and making decisions about Sixth Form life.
If you have any further questions about how you can guide your child through their mock exam preparation, please contact Mr Alderson, Assistant Headteacher – Teaching and Learning (email@example.com), or Mr Collins – Year Progress Leader for Year 11 (firstname.lastname@example.org). For queries about Sixth Form and the application process, please contact Mrs Wain – Acting Head of Sixth Form (email@example.com).
Thank you for your ongoing support in helping us prepare your child for their upcoming exams and further education choices.
Mr C Hutchinson
